It is the customer’s responsibility to read and agree to the Terms and Conditions fully before placing an order. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you are not permitted to order our products.
Anyone who orders a product are bound by the terms and conditions below. Little Gems Baskets reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.
We offer a range of different learning baskets, for babies, toddlers and children to promote their development.
When purchasing a product from us, you enter into a contract which is governed by the Terms and Conditions contained below. No variation or modification of the contract shall be effective unless agreed by Little Gems and the customer in writing.

Basket Product Disclaimer
The customer acknowledges and agrees that the use of our products are entirely at their own risk. Basket contents may vary from the images on the website. Little Gems reserves the right to remove items from sale or offer substitute items at any time.
The objects and items contained in all of the Little Gems Baskets are not toys or baby teethers, instead they are educational resources to stimulate sensory learning and development, thus they must always be used under the supervision of an adult.
Baskets and their contents should be checked thoroughly after each use to check for damage or breakages, and objects should be disposed of if no longer deemed safe to use by the adult.
Do not allow babies to place any small objects in their mouths, which could present a choking hazard. All items used in our baskets have been tested using a ‘babydan’, which is
Due to the type of objects used in sensory play, some of the contents used do not come with a CE Mark because they are not designed or sold as toys. If an item comes CE marked, the original labels will still be on the product.
Thus are baskets are not sold or advertised as ‘toy baskets’. In addition some of the contents we include have health and safety warnings highlighting they are not suitable for children under 3, however these items are being sold solely for the use in sensory play under adult supervision.
Little Gems Baskets will under no circumstances, be held accountable or liable for any injury or harm resulting from the use of our products. All of our Baskets are classified as ‘educational products’ thus they need to used with an adult, and are covered by the following legislation The Product Safety and Metrology etc. (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 Act; “Schedule 1 Products That Are Not Toys para 14, which states that: “Products intended for use for educational purposes in schools and other pedagogical contexts under the surveillance of an adult instructor, such as science equipment.”

Little Gems Baskets strongly advise you to read the product information and full disclaimer before purchase, as it is the customers responsibility for deciding whether the product is suitable for the baby or child.
Little Gems Baskets provides no guarantee that our products will meet your expectations or requirements. The customer acknowledges and agrees that Little Gems Baskets will not be liable for any damages as a result of using our service.
Currently we only sell our basket products within the UK. If you are outside of the UK and wish to order, please email us to discuss this further.Each basket contains different contents and are aimed at different ages of babies and children. Little Gems Baskets cannot guarantee that you will receive a specific object in a basket. Some products can only be ordered in limited quantities. If a specific object is out of stock, a suitable equivalent substitute will be offered instead.
Dispatch and Postage
Once you have ordered via the website, we aim to dispatch your order within 3-5 days, at busy times of the year this might be longer. We cannot guarantee delivery on a specific day and will not be held liable for delays outside of our control.
All baskets are sent out using Royal Mail and are sent out using a signed for service. Little Gems cannot be held responsible for postage delays. If your order goes missing or is damaged in transit, you will need to follow the Royal Mail’s compensation process and complete the online claim process here:
You the customer are responsible for checking that the postal address is correct on your order and agree to accept liability for any incorrect address provided.
Our return address is included on the underside of each parcel. If the parcel is undelivered to you and returned to us, we will contact you to arrange a redelivery, however you will be liable to cover the full postage cost.
If the customer does not collect a parcel from the post office within the required timeframes, then there will be an additional cost to have the order resent to you.
If a Basket order does not arrive due to the fault of Little Gems Baskets, we will resolve the issue ASAP and will send a replacement out free of charge if needed.
Using Our Website
In accordance with our Terms and Conditions, Little Gems Baskets, grants you a limited revocable, non-transferrable and non-exclusive license to use our website for personal use and not for commercial purposes. Our website is copyright protected and cannot be copied and used by others. You are not permitted to access or use the site for the benefit of another business. Little Gems Baskets reserves the right to refuse our service or cancel any order, if we believe the customer has breached usage of our website for the purposes outlined above or has acted in a detrimental way towards our business.
If you have a promotion code, enter it on the on ‘My Cart’ page at bottom of the website on the ‘enter promo code’ box.
Law requires that some customer communications need to be in writing. When using our website, you agree that those communications will occur electronically. We will email you with information at different stages regarding updates on your order.
Once you make an order you enter into a contract and agree to this communication and you agree that we will use the details provided for this purpose, in accordance with legal requirements.
When purchasing products through our site, the customer enters into a contract and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this shall governed and construed in accordance with English Law and that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim.
Your right to cancel your order
The customer has the right to cancel under The Consumer Contract Regulations (2014), this begins from the moment you order from Little Gems Baskets and ends 14 days from the day you receive your order.
If you wish to cancel, once you have received your order, please contact us. Once the product has been returned to us in a unused and complete condition, then your order will be refunded, minus the postage and packaging charges paid. To return an item to us, the customer will be expected to cover the return postage costs.
If the customer receives a faulty product or a product not as described, due to the error of Little Gems Baskets, then a replacement product will be sent. Please email us with photos showing the issue as soon as possible once receiving your order.
If you wish to cancel your order please email us as soon as possible.
Products listed as damaged or having defects, are exempt from The Consumer Contract Regulations.
Products which have been received via competitions or promotions are exempt from The Consumer Contract Regulations.
We totally respect your personal information and will only ask you for what information we need. We will look after your data in the same way as we would want our own to be looked after and will keep it secure. We need your personal information to be able to deliver our service to you, to personalise your experience, for marketing, to send promotions to you and for self-assessment record keeping for HMRC. We will only share it with others where we need their help to deliver our services to you.
